ALDERSGATE
The design of this residence was guided by the client's desire for a calm, restorative home rooted in the principles of Japandi design. Inspired by minimalist living and Zen aesthetics, the space embraces a restrained neutral palette, natural materials, and a sense of quiet simplicity that allows each element to breathe.
Because the client has a strong appreciation for wood, white oak became the defining material throughout the home. Custom white oak cabinetry and carefully selected wooden furnishings establish warmth, continuity, and timeless character while reinforcing the connection to nature. To align with the client's lifestyle and aesthetic preferences, every furniture piece was chosen with substantial, grounded forms, intentionally avoiding thin or delicate legs in favor of solid silhouettes that convey stability and permanence.
